Learn how to use your device on another carrier or wireless provider's network. This may also be known as SIM unlock, network unlock, or carrier unlock.
What's a Device Unlock
- Device Unlock lets you use your device with another carrier, for things like international travel or selling your device.
- This is different from Domestic or International roaming, where you use a mobile365 SIM/eSIM to access a different wireless provider's network.
Check unlock status & eligibility
Once your device is eligible, mobile365 will automatically unlock the device within two business days if it supports remote unlock.
mobile365 account
- Log into your mobile365 Account and choose the Accounts page.
- Select the line you wish to unlock, then choose Check device unlock status.
- Under the device image, check if your device is eligible to be unlocked. Review Device Unlock Policy for a list of eligibility requirements.
T-Life / mobile365 app
- Open the T-Life / mobile365 app and choose the Manage tab.
- Select the line you wish to unlock. You may need to choose Manage all first.
- View the 'Device lock status' field. Select Device lock status for additional details.
- Under the device image, view your progress toward device unlock eligibility.
- Review Device Unlock Policy for a list of eligibility requirements.
Unlock your device
Make sure you are connected to the mobile365 network or Wi-Fi, then select your device type and follow the steps. If your device isn't listed or the steps don't work, choose your device on the Devices page for unlock steps or Contact us for assistance
Apple iPhone
- To view unlock status, select Settings > General > About. If Carrier Lock says No SIM restrictions, your iPhone is unlocked.
- If you have a locked iPhone that's eligible, Contact us so we can submit the unlock.
Samsung
- From your list of apps, choose Settings > Connections > More Connection Settings.
- Select Network Unlock > Permanent Unlock, then wait for the unlock to complete.
- Restart your device.
- Make sure you have a mobile365 SIM inserted or mobile365 eSIM setup on the device.
- Access the Play Store and download the mobile365 Device Unlock (Pixel) app.
- Open the app and choose Check eligibility.
- Select Permanent Unlock, then wait for the unlock to complete.
- Restart your device.
Motorola
- From your list of apps, choose Settings > About Phone > Device Unlock.
- Select Permanent Unlock, then wait for the unlock to complete.
- Restart your device.
LG
- From your list of apps, choose Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Networks.
- Select Network Unlock > Continue > Permanent Unlock, then wait for the unlock to complete.
- Restart your device.
OnePlus
- From your list of apps, choose Settings > Wi-Fi & Internet > SIM & network.
- Select either Advanced or Network Unlock.
- Choose Permanent Unlock, then wait for the unlock to complete.
- Restart your device.
Device Unlock App
Some older Android devices have a Device Unlock app preinstalled.
- From your list of apps, choose Device Unlock.
- Select Device Unlock > Continue and wait for the device to communicate with the server.
- Choose Permanent Unlock, then wait for the unlock to complete.
- Restart your device.
Other devices
- Apple iPads, Apple Watches and Samsung Galaxy Watches are sold unlocked.
- Hotspots and some tablets require unlock code. Contact us to request an unlock code
Get help
- Contact us if you can't find the app or settings to unlock your mobile365 device, or if you get an error message when attempting to complete the unlock.
- Not all devices are compatible with every wireless provider.
- If you've unlocked a mobile365 device but can't get signal with another carrier, contact the other wireless provider for assistance.
